A grandson of Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto and Premier of the defunct Northern Region, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, died today.
Family sources said Danbaba, a business mogul who held the title of Magajin Garin Sokoto, slumped today and was rushed to the 44 Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna where he was confirmed dead.
He was aged 51.
His remains were flown to Sokoto where it was buried.
Danbaba, who was the chairman of Stonehedge Hotel, Abuja, left behind three wives and six children.
His mother, Aishatu Ahmadu Bello, the second daughter of the premier, died at the age of 75 in April, 2021.
