This means that Eid Al-Adha, the largest Muslim festival, will be celebrated on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

The day of Arafah, which precedes Eid Al-Adha, will fall on June 15.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court had urged all Muslims in the Kingdom to look for the crescent moon of Dhu Al Hijjah to establish the start of the month and the exact date of the festival.

Eid Al-Adha, the most significant Islamic festival, takes place on the 10th of Dhu Al Hijjah.

Eid Al-Adha is celebrated worldwide by Muslims on the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It is the second major Islamic festival, following Eid ul-Fitr.
