The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, has assured the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) of continued partnership to drive Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
He made this commitment during a meeting with a high-level delegation from AFD, led by the Executive Director of Geographies, Mr. Philippe Orliange, at his office in Abuja.
In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Mohammed Manga, the Minister acknowledged the successful partnership between the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) and AFD over the past fifteen years.
He highlighted ongoing reforms and discussed short-term priorities such as addressing food security, accelerating benefits to the vulnerable, and enhancing infrastructure and energy sectors.
The meeting underscored the strong collaboration between Nigeria and AFD, aimed at promoting economic growth and sustainable development.
“This courtesy visit marks a significant milestone in our partnership with AFD. We look forward to continued collaboration and mutual support in achieving our economic goals,” the Minister affirmed.
