The Bauchi State Commissioner for Cooperatives and SMEs Development, Hajiya Sa’adatu Kirfi, has resigned from her position over the removal of her father as the Wazirin Bauchi.
It would be recalled that the Bauchi Emirate Council, at the behest of the state government, Wednesday removed the 89-year-old Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Kirfi as the Wazirin Bauchi due to what it described as disrespect to the state governor, Bala Mohammed.
Hajiya Sa’adatu announced her resignation in a letter dated January 4, 2023, and addressed to the governor through the secretary to the state government.
She said: “Your Excellency, I wish to humbly tender my resignation as a member, Bauchi state Executive Council and Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Development, Bauchi State, with immediate effect.
“I wish to thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor, for giving me the opportunity to serve my state under your administration.”
