Over 2,500 Kaduna State pilgrims, out of 4,767 that performed this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia, have returned home.
Spokesperson of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Yunusa Mohammed Abdullahi, explained in a press release that the pilgrims were transported back home in five outbound flights by MaxAir Airline.
The spokesperson recalled that the return journey began last Monday and all pilgrims landed Nigeria with both their hand luggage and checked-in bags simultaneously.
He assured the remaining pilgrims who are still in Saudi Arabia that they would be reunited with their families soon.
Yunusa reiterated that Kaduna State had the highest number of pilgrims totalling 4,767 in this year’s Hajj, regretting that two had passed away in Saudi Arabia.
