The U.S.-Africa Trade Council, United States of America, has announced the appointment of Mr Regis Uzoma as its new Executive Vice President, Global Operations.
The council made the announcement in a statement issued by Elsie Ezekiel, Director, International Programme Development and obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.
The statement said in this role, Uzoma would provide leadership and overall guidance and direction, in the programmes policy and strategic efforts to improve the trade traffic between US and Africa.
According to the statement, Uzoma is a World Bank certified professional in the fields of Trading for Development in the Age of Global Value Chains and unlocking Investment and Finance in Emerging Markets and Developing Economies.
It said: “He is also certified by the International Trade Centre (in partnership with the WTO and UN) in organising and Implementing Inward and Outward Investment Promotion Missions), Export Marketing Strategy and blockchain for Trade.
“He plays strategic roles in building global trade relationships and projects, especially within Africa.
“His core is using Business Intelligence in creating investible projects and relationships across countries and continents.”
The statement said he was versed in numerous marketing dynamics including Brand Development, Market Testing, Innovation Management, Route-to-Market, Advertising, Public Relations Management, and B2B/B2C Operations.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the US-Africa Trade Council, USA, is dedicated to strengthening and enriching the vehicle of investment and trade between the United States of America and Africa.
The council provides a bilateral forum on key economic, commercial and professional initiatives, as well as business opportunities of interest to American companies operating in or exploring business opportunities in Africa.
It also assists African companies planning trade ties and business expansion to the US Market. (NAN)
