Last night in Lagos, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, was presented with the Image Maker Award 2026 from Vanguard Media, publishers of Vanguard newspapers.
While expressing his appreciation for the gesture, Idris said: “This Image Maker Award 2026 presented to me last night at the Vanguard Media Awards in Lagos is a testament to the trust we strive to build with every Nigerian.
“Communication is at the heart of governance, and it must foster confidence, unity, and hope. It must not only inform but also build trust.
“The award is not an endpoint, but a call to do more for the Nigerian people. I will continue to uphold the highest standards of public communication, anchored on truth, transparency, and accountability.
“I commend Vanguard Media Limited for its commitment to excellence and for celebrating national service; and I would also like to specially thank my colleagues in government, and the very dedicated staff of Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Nigeria for their cooperation and support.”
