The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the peace, stability, and progress of the country just as they celebrate the Eid al-Adha.

“This sacred festival reminds us of the timeless virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and devotion to the will of Almighty Allah, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

“It is a season that calls for reflection, unity, tolerance, and renewed commitment to the values that bind us together as one nation.

“As Nigerians celebrate with their families and loved ones, I urge citizens to continue to pray for the peace, stability, and progress of our dear country.”

Idris assured that the Tinubu administration “remains committed to delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda and building a more secure, prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria for all.”

He also encouraged Nigerians to use this period to extend love and support to the less privileged, promote peaceful coexistence, and strengthen the spirit of national unity, irrespective of ethnic, religious, or political differences.

He prayed thus: “May the blessings of Eid bring peace, joy, and abundant prosperity to every home, and may Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices. Eid Mubarak.”
