Popular Nollywood actress Rahama Sadau has paid an emotional tribute to her late father, Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau Usman, marking the first anniversary of his passing with a heartfelt message filled with prayers, cherished memories, and expressions of deep sorrow.

In a post shared on her social media pages, the actress appealed to her fans and the public to remember her father in their prayers as she reflected on life without him over the past 365 days.

“It has been 365 days without you Daddy,” she wrote. “365 days without receiving a single call from you, without visiting you, without sitting with you, without celebrating two Eids by your side. The emptiness is something words can hardly explain.”

Rahama said although she has countless memories and stories she could share about her father, she has chosen instead to honour him through continuous prayers, describing it as the greatest gift she can offer him.

“I have so much I want to write, so many memories I want to share, but I choose to spend my days sending constant prayers for you until my last breath. That is the greatest reward I can ever give you,” she said.

The actress described her father as a loving and exemplary parent whose kindness, wisdom, and guidance shaped her life and those of her family members.

“You were a good father, the kind a child grows up appreciating and never forgets. Your love, your guidance, your presence, and the way you brought us together will always stay in our hearts,” she wrote.

Recalling treasured moments spent with him, Rahama said she misses his laughter, his voice, and the simple moments that brought joy to the family.

“I miss the moments when you would sit us all down and fill the room with your laughter and jokes. I miss your voice. I miss hearing you say, ‘A tashi ayi Sallah.’ I miss the little things that meant everything,” she added.

Rahama admitted that coping with her father’s absence has not been easy, saying she is still learning to live with the pain of losing him.

“Wallahi, this is not easy. I am trying to learn how to live with this pain, but some days it feels heavier than others. Your absence is a wound only Almighty Allah can heal,” she said.

She concluded her tribute with prayers, asking Allah to forgive her father’s shortcomings, shower him with mercy, and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

“You are forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed. Rest in Jannatul Firdaus, Daddy,” the actress wrote.

The touching tribute has drawn prayers and messages of sympathy from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers, many of whom joined the actress in praying for the repose of her father’s soul.
