Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has committed a newly built Juma’at Mosque constructed by the Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, in the latter’s hometown, Nabanje, Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The commissioning ceremony attracted government officials, lawmakers, Islamic scholars and community leaders, who described the project as a significant contribution to religious and community development.

Speaking at the event, Governor Buni commended Masari for investing in a project that would promote spiritual growth and strengthen unity among the people.

He said the construction of places of worship plays an important role in fostering peace, moral values and social cohesion within communities.

Buni urged other public office holders and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate such initiatives by investing in projects that directly benefit the people.

In his remarks, Masari expressed gratitude to the governor for commissioning the mosque and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote societal development and improve the well-being of communities.

He called on residents of Nabanje and neighbouring communities to make effective use of the mosque, describing it as a centre for worship, Islamic learning and community unity.

The event was attended by members of the National Assembly and the Katsina State House of Assembly, prominent Islamic scholars, and leaders of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), including Sheikh Bala Lau and Sheikh Kabir Gombe, as well as other traditional and community leaders.

Special prayers were also offered for lasting peace, stability and prosperity in Katsina State and Nigeria.
