The Emir of Lafia in Nasarawa State, Hon. Justice Sidi Dauda Bage Muhammad II, has commended the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, for what he described as remarkable achievements recorded by his administration.
A statement was signed by Bologi Ibrahim, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, said the Emir gave the commendation when Governor Bago paid him a courtesy visit in Bida, where the monarch was a special guest of honour at the 23rd anniversary of the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on the throne.
Justice Bage said he was particularly impressed by the ongoing Minna-Bida dual carriageway project, describing the progress of the road construction as one of the notable achievements of the governor’s administration.
He prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and protection for Governor Bago as he serves the people of Niger State.

The Emir also called on the people of Niger State, popularly known as Nigerlites, to rally round the governor and give his administration the necessary support to enable it succeed.
Responding, Governor Bago thanked the Emir for his continued role in promoting unity among Nigerians.
He said he would continue to seek the monarch’s fatherly advice, noting that he holds the Emir in high esteem.
Bago also paid a similar courtesy visit to the Emir of Doma, who was in Bida for the celebration of the Etsu Nupe’s 23rd anniversary on the throne.
