Arise News Television has announced that political analyst Anthony Kila will no longer appear on its television channel following allegations that he falsified his academic credentials.

The decision was announced in a disclaimer issued by the network’s editorial board, which said it had taken note of an investigative report by Premium Times concerning Kila’s academic qualifications.

According to the statement, Arise News contacted Kila on October 3, 2026, to seek his response to the allegations, but he requested more time to reply.

The network said he had yet to respond 10 days after the allegations were brought to his attention, adding that the claims had continued to escalate.

“In the circumstances, we find that his contributions to The ARISE News Channel is no longer tenable,” the statement said.

Arise News explained that it was unaware of the allegations when Kila appeared on its platform as a freelance political analyst.

The network said it takes issues of credibility and integrity seriously and had decided to discontinue his appearances with immediate effect.

It added that Kila would no longer appear on its networks, either now or in the future.

The allegations against Kila were outlined in an investigative report by Premium Times. The Arise News statement did not provide further details of the specific claims or indicate whether Kila had subsequently responded to the allegations.
