The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has named Hajiya Rabi’a Adamu Waziri as its representative on the newly constituted board of Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB).

The board, chaired by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume, was inaugurated today.

A statement issued by the PTDF said: “This appointment reflects PTDF’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda and strengthening ICT integration in the oil and gas sector.”

The new board is entrusted with the responsibility of steering GBB’s operations and overseeing the successful implementation of its Integrated Digital Transformation Strategy (IDTS) for the 2025–2028 period.

PTDF congratulated Waziri on her well-deserved appointment and expressed full confidence in her ability to provide strategic insight and effectively represent the Fund’s interests on the GBB board.
