The Abia State chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has on Thursday,  June 12, 2025, elected new members of its executive committee.

The election was conducted on Thursday, June 12, 2025 by Elder Ernest Onuoha, a former chairman of the chapter, ANA fellow, and special envoy of the association’s national body.

It held at the GH Hall, Ogbonnaya Ọnụ Polytechnic, Aba.

Addressing the new executive members, Ọnụaha stressed the need for sustainable growth through effective leadership.

He expressed the desire of the national leadership to see progress in the chapter’s activities.

He enjoined members to support the new leadership through engagement and participation, stressing the need for accountability.

Describing his re-election as humbling and a rare opportunity to explore other vistas of service, the chairman of the chapter, Mr. Uzomah Chukwudifu Emmanuel, thanked the members for their support and pledged to deliver impactful leadership through unification and the exploration of new ideas for programming and partnership opportunities.

He said the new team will pursue deeper partnerships within and beyond Abia, with focus on capacity building for members and expansion of relations with the public.

He also hinted on the reinvigoration of the association’s schools outreach programme.

• Mr Uzomah Chukwudifu Emmanuel (Chairman)

• Dr. Innocent N. Anucha (Vice chairman)

• Nnaemeka Nwokocha (Secretary General)

• Opara Anthony C. (Assistant Secretary General)

• Ogugbuaja Maxwell C. (Treasurer)

• Linda Okorie (Financial Secretary)

• Barr. Iheanyi Anyamene (Legal Adviser)

• Agu Prince Osinayah (Public Relations Officer)
