The Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has named nine distinguished writers as its new Fellows.

The honours were announced by the General Secretary of the association, Dr. Dame Joan Oji.

Those appointed are:

1. Professor Isiaka Zubair Aliagan
2. Dr. Abdullahi Ahmad Ismaila
3. Dr. Kabura Lynn Zakama
4. Associate Professor Greg Nnamdi Mbajiorgu
5. Chief Adi Wali
6. Hon. Justice George Chibueze Nnamani
7. Basorun Seinde Joel Arogbofa
8. Prof. Ngozi Therese Chuma-Udeh
9. Mrs Awele Mary-Rose Ilusanmi

Oji said: “This esteemed honour reflects their significant contributions to Nigerian literature and their commitment to the ideals of ANA.”

The appointees will be inducted into the ANA College of Fellows during the International Convention of the association starting on October 30, 2025.
