Bida Street Market will square up with their counterparts from Kano Street Market, both in Onitsha, on Wednesday in the football event of the ongoing Anambra Traders Sports Competition.
A win for any of the teams will see them through to the state finals from the Onitsha Market Zone 1 group of the competition.
According to the fixtures released by Chijioke Onyedika, secretary of the technical team, the match will take place at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium by 4pm.
In Onitsha Market Zone 2 group, Stationery and Computer market Football team will battle Ajasa market football side for a place in the state finals stage.
The match will take place at the Godwin Achebe Stadium, Fegge, at 2pm.
In Aguata Market Zone, Eke Ora-eri market football team will have a date with Nkwo Umunze Market at Ekwulobia Stadium, Ekwulobia, on Wednesday by 3pm.
In other games, Anthony Agbo representing Old & New Motorcycle Parts, Nkpor, will play with Titus Daraebo of Electrical Market, Obosi, in the Draught event of the competition at the Rojenny Medium, Oba.
Uchenna Ezenwafor from Etawa Market, Ekwuluobia, will have a date with Iloduba Chinonso, representing Ekwulobia Market, in the second draught game.
In Ncho (Ayo), Ibegwa Micheal, representing Electrical Market, Obosi, will play with Chibuzor Ndubuisi of Motor Spare Parts at the Rojenny Stadium, Oba.
In Table Tennis, Nnolim Christian – From Electrical Market, Obosi, and Harrison Olieh, representing New Tyre Nkpor, will compete in the ping pong game at the Rojenny Stadium, Oba.
The Anambra State Traders Sports Competition which is featuring football, tennis, table tennis, draught and Ncho kicked off on Oct. 18 at eight market zones across the state. (NAN)
