According to Anyebe, upon assumption of office, he promised to return the clubs back to the home soil for all their home games, which has been achieved.

The commissioner explained that the management of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, has given approval for such games at the Prince Abubakar Audu University Stadium, Anyigba.

He expressed confidence that the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will give a face lift to the sports sector viewing the role of sports as critical to national development and human wellbeing.

Anyebe urged stakeholders in the sports sector to take advantage of the opportunity by contributing their quota to the growth of the sector.

While reacting to the development, the Chairman of Kogi United, Mr. Abdulmalik Isah, described the efforts of the commissioner towards the progress and development of sporting activities as impressive.

Isah appealed to the players to double their efforts in order to write the name of Kogi State in gold by placing the name on the global map.
