The death, this week, of Alhaji Bashir Othman Tofa was a very emotional moment for a lot Nigerians. Many went down memory lane to recall the type of person he was.

One of the momentos that emerged from these days of pain over his loss was this old photograph of Tofa and his friends in their younger days.

Most of the folk in the picture have gone forward to achieve something tangible in life.

According to information received from Tofa before his demise, the picture was taken in the summer of 1974 at London’s Hyde Park, close to Marble Arch. “We were all students from Kano State, and we were on our post-graduate levels,” he revealed.
