The Bauchi State Govenrment today named Professor Fatima Tahir as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau (SAZUG).
The new VC, who is the younger sister of the renowned scholar, the late Dr. Ibrahim Tahir, has been a lecturer at SAZUG.
Dr. Aliyu U. Tilde, who resigned this month as the state Commissioner for Information, disclosed that Professor Tahir came first in the list of 12 applicants who were shortlisted and interviewed for the position a month and a half ago.
He congratulated her and the state-owned university for the appointment.
