In preparation for the 2024 Eid-El-Kabir celebrations, the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, has distributed 4,860 rams to Muslims in Zamfara.
According to a statement by the Zamfara state APC publicity secretary, Yusuf Idris, released in Gusau on Tuesday, the minister also allocated N390 million to be shared among the beneficiaries.
“The beneficiaries included members of the state chapter of the APC Working Committee (SWC) as well as the party’s executive at the local government and ward levels in all the local government areas of the state.”
“Other beneficiaries, according to the statement, were party elders, youth, women groups, ulamas, less privileged persons, orphans and the needy as well as party members throughout the state.
“The former appointees in Matawalle’s administration including commissioners, special advisers, directors generals, senior special assistants, special assistants, permanent cmmissioners and board members were also among the beneficiaries,” he stated.
Additionally, 140 individuals from the 14 local government areas of the state were selected and given N100,000 each to support their Sallah celebrations.
