The Federal Government has successfully repatriated one hundred and ninety Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 5:45 am, where they were received by a team of government officials led by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
According to a statement issued by the Director of NEMA North Central Zone, Bashir Idris Garga, the returnees underwent profiling and documentation by relevant agencies upon arrival. They were also sensitized to conduct themselves responsibly and with decorum upon their return to Nigeria.
“The federal government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” the statement emphasized.
The repatriation effort signifies the government’s commitment to ensuring the welfare and safe return of Nigerians abroad, especially in challenging circumstances.
