The President of the Republic of Ghana, Mr Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has again paid glowing tributes to the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) for its contribution to African unity.

The president made the remarks when the Secretary-General of PAWA, Dr Wale Okediran, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Jubilee House in Accra, Ghana, during the week.

In addition to thanking the president for his support for the association, Okediran also used the occasion to decorate the president with the medal of the Grand Patron of Arts Award.

Although the award had been previously conferred on the president at the 2022 PAWA Congress in Nigeria, it was done in absentia.

While thanking PAWA for the honour, Akufo-Addo assured the continental literary body of Ghana’s continous support.
