Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has commissioned the newly reconstructed township road in Kagarko, headquarters of Kagarko Local Government Area, and promised to restore power supply to the town.

He made the statement today after the commissioning ceremony in Kagarko as part of the activities marking the second anniversary of his administration.

The governor said: “Since assuming office, we have performed groundbreaking for the construction of 79 roads across Kaduna State, totaling 780 kilometers.

“So far, 25 roads have been completed and commissioned, while the others are at various stages of completion. These projects span across local governments that have long suffered neglect, reflecting our commitment to inclusive development.

He noted that the Kagarko township road will significantly enhance connectivity, ease of movement, and access to services for residents, farmers, business owners, and all road users in the area.

“It will also reduce travel time, improve security, stimulate economic activities, and promote social cohesion in the region,” he said.

The governor revealed that to sustain the current drive towards progress and development in Kagarko Local Government, efforts are underway by his government to restore power supply to Kagarko, a move that will further support local businesses, enhance the quality of life for residents, and attract new investments.

He said this intervention will finally bring an end to the prolonged lack of electricity that the community has endured for years.

“The overwhelming reception by the people of Kagarko is a testament to the growing trust in our leadership and the unity we are steadily building across Kaduna State,” he noted, adding, “We remain resolute in our mission to bridge the infrastructure gap, foster development and strengthen our economy.”
