The Federal Ministry of Education unveiled the mascot for the 4th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games (FEDUGAM), named “FEDUGAM-Bauchi 2024,” during a ceremony held in Abuja.

The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, represented by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Tanko Yusuf Sununu, delivered the keynote address, setting the tone for the event.

Prof. Mamman, through Dr. Sununu, expressed deep gratitude to attendees for their ongoing support and commitment to advancing the education sector.

He emphasized that FEDUGAM plays a crucial role in fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community spirit among educators, administrators, students, and staff.

The newly unveiled mascot symbolizes physical fitness, teamwork, perseverance, and fair play, aiming to inspire participants throughout the games.

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, highlighted the significance of the games in promoting unity, friendship, fitness, and mental alertness among Ministry and Agency staff.

She thanked everyone involved in organizing the event and encouraged participants to compete with integrity and enjoy the games.

The Chairman of the FEDUGAM Steering Committee, Omotayo F. Adeyemi, welcomed attendees and acknowledged the Minister and other dignitaries for their presence.

He underscored the mascot’s role in representing the spirit of the games and expressed gratitude to the organizing committee for their dedication.

Adeyemi called for support from ministry agencies, corporate organizations, and partners to ensure the success of FEDUGAM Bauchi 2024.

Scheduled to take place from August 3-10, 2024, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi State, FEDUGAM Bauchi 2024 aims to celebrate educational achievements and foster unity within the sector.

The Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, will host and support the event.
