In a style uniquely his own, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, captivated the crowds today when he rode out of Gidan Rumfa palace on a dromedary.
It was the first time he was seen riding on the she-camel since his return to the throne, which he is occupying for the second time.
The people stood and stared, while honouring the monarch in the traditional clenched fist greeting.
For many, it was a great spectacle to watch the emir ride by with his courtiers in what is known as Hawan Babban Ɗaki.
