President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his recent electoral triumph.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, said Tinubu praised the election results as a clear endorsement of Modi’s exceptional leadership of the world’s largest democracy.
He emphasised that the victory reflects the Indian populace’s confidence in Modi’s vision and governance.
Modi’s coalition, the National Democratic Alliance, secured a majority of parliamentary seats, ensuring him a third consecutive term in office—an accomplishment only matched by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
Ngelale said: “On behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, President Tinubu congratulates the people of India and assures the South Asian nation of Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening relations and advancing shared goals and values as strategic partners in the league of nations.”
