Three new female writers have been selected for the July/August 2022 residency programme of the Ebedi International Writers Residency in Nigeria.

The residency is located at Iseyin town in Oyo State, Nigeria.

In a statement it issued Thursday, the residency disclosed that the three writers, Naseeba Babale (Nigeria), Ursula Abanga (Ghana) and Misturah Shittu (Nigeria), have arrived the Residency for a four-week stay.

It said: “The Ebedi International Writers Residency is a private initiative for writers and visual artists willing to complete their work in a conducive environment at no cost.

“Since it was established in 2012, the facility has hosted 150 writers from 12 African countries.

“Apart from completing their ongoing works, the writers will also mentor secondary school students in Iseyin in creative arts during their stay.”
