The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a progressive-minded leader who has proven his commitment to the masses via his forward thinking by rebuilding hope around the Local Government structure which is the closest to the masses.

Idris stated this when he and other members of the National Media Team took an advocacy visit to TVC in Abuja on Thursday.

The minister, who stated that the President hears the voice of the masses loud and clear, said the country is currently going through a temporary sacrificial phase necessary to build a solid foundation for a sustainable economy.

He requested the media to keep on carrying out its duty of informing the populace and checking government with a sense of patriotism and collective responsibility to the country.

Idris and his team paid a similar advocacy visit to Arise TV, where he engaged the Chairman of the channel, Mr. Nduka Obaigbena, in a robust and productive engagement on topical issues in the country.

In continuation of the advocacy visit to media houses, the minister was similarly at Channels TV, where he requested the media to be at the forefront of promoting national unity and preservation of our collective existence as a nation.
