Additionally, the President has appointed Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Shelleng as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Climate Finance and Stakeholder Engagement. He will be seconded to the NCCC Secretariat, focusing on climate finance and stakeholder relations.

Mr. Olamide Fagbuji has also been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Climate Technology and Operations. He will be seconded to the NCCC Secretariat to oversee the digitalization of a new open procurement process and cross-departmental procedural optimization.

The presidential spokesman stated that President Tinubu expects the new appointees to utilize their expertise and discipline to advance the nation’s goals of green industrial development and climate action, promoting sustainable growth and national prosperity. The appointments are effective immediately.
