He was also welcomed by Governors Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State and Sani Uba of Kaduna State, along with members of his cabinet.

During his visit, the President is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and visit two major Chinese companies, Huawei Technologies and the China Railway and Construction Corporation (CRCC).

“This is with a view to achieve one of Mr President’s top agenda items, which is the completion of the Ibadan-to-Abuja segment of the Lagos-Kano high-speed rail line,” Ngelale stated.

Following this, Ngelale said the President would meet with the CEOs of 10 major Chinese corporations that manage assets totaling over 3 trillion dollars across various sectors.

He added that President Tinubu will then participate in the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, where multiple African leaders will discuss key issues with Chinese officials. (NAN)
