The institution’s Deputy Registrar, Public Affairs, Alhaji Lamara Garba, described the letter as fake.

In a statement he issued on Monday, Garba said: “Students, parents and other stakeholders should note that Bayero University has not yet decided on any school fees increase as against the social media post being circulated by some unscrupulous elements.”

He urged members of the public to disregard the information which he described as “fake and malicious.”
