The Academy of Management Nigeria has expressed satisfaction with the appointment of its President, Professor Samaila Mande, as the Director of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Business School.

A statement from the academy said: “This strategic appointment underscores the university’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the advancement of professional education in Nigeria and beyond.”

It described Mande as a distinguished scholar and seasoned academic with extensive experience in marketing, public relations, and strategic management.

It said: “With a proven track record in teaching, research, and institutional development, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

“His appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the Business School’s vision of becoming a leading hub for professional master’s and doctoral programmes tailored to meet global standards and local industry needs.

“In his capacity as Director, Professor Mande will provide strategic leadership for the design, implementation, and delivery of cutting-edge programmes, including Professional Master’s and Professional Doctorates.

“He is also expected to drive partnerships with industry stakeholders, enhance research output, and position the NOUN Business School as a centre of excellence in flexible and technology-driven learning.”

The NOUN Business School is poised to play a pivotal role in addressing the evolving needs of the business environment by offering flexible, industry-relevant programmes that empower professionals and entrepreneurs across Nigeria and internationally.

The school is a specialised arm of the NOUN dedicated to providing high-quality, flexible, and accessible business education.

It offers a range of professional postgraduate programmes designed to equip learners with practical skills, strategic insight, and leadership capabilities required in today’s dynamic global economy.
