The people of Southern Kaduna have conferred the title of Grand Commander of Southern Kaduna (GCSK) on the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), in recognition of his service to the nation and commitment to peace, security, and national unity.

Receiving the honour, Musa thanked the people for the recognition and described the region as prosperous and promising.

He dedicated the award to all patriotic and peace-loving Nigerians, noting that Southern Kaduna has produced distinguished men and women excelling in various fields.

The Minister urged youths of the region to remain law-abiding and avoid activities that could lead to conflict or criminality.

He stressed that security is a collective responsibility and called on stakeholders to work together to eradicate insecurity.

He also commended community leaders for their role in intelligence gathering and urged continued provision of timely and accurate information on criminal activities.

Musa encouraged the people to uphold the values for which Southern Kaduna is known: hard work, respect for the law, sacrifice, service, and humility.

He emphasised that peace and cohesion are essential for national development and urged continued support for the Tinubu administration, citing increased Federal Government presence and developmental interventions in the region over the past three years.
