Prominent Kannywood actor and director Malam Al-Amin Ciroma has called on those criticising him over his former marriage to the late Wasila Isma’il to fear Allah and stop doing so.
He said that if they do not repent and desist, they will be answerable to Allah on the Day of Judgment.
Some people have accused Ciroma of abandoning Wasila and their children after their marriage ended.
Ciroma made the remarks on Sunday, marking seven days since Wasila’s death, in a message he posted on social media titled, “Wasila’s Seventh-Day Prayer.”

Below is the full text of his statement:
“WASILA’S SEVENTH-DAY PRAYER”
“Today, Sunday, May 31, 2026, marks the seventh day since the passing of the MOTHER OF MY CHILDREN, WASILA ISMA’IL, who died on May 24, 2026.
“As someone who lived with her for 20 years, eight months, and 14 days, I stood by her grave and offered further prayers for her, while forgiving her for any wrong she may have done to me from the beginning of our marriage until the day she left this world.
“Therefore, I would like to use this opportunity to seek forgiveness for her from all relatives and friends.
“May Almighty Allah forgive Wasila and grant her eternal rest. As for us who remain alive, may Allah grant us a good ending through the truth of ‘There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).’
“Finally, I would like to offer some ADVICE, especially to those who interfere in matters that do not concern them and who send me unpleasant messages and comments despite not knowing what transpired between Wasila and me: FEAR ALLAH.
“You should not interfere in matters about which you have no knowledge. If such people do not repent and stop, they will stand before Allah and give account.
“I have continued to receive countless private messages and text messages containing unfair accusations against me.
“In conclusion:
“I, Al-Amin Ciroma, pray that Allah forgives Wasila. May Allah forgive our parents and all our relatives who have gone before us to the eternal abode. May He grant them rest.
“And may Allah grant us a good ending through the blessings of our master, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Ameen.
“A. Ciroma
May 31, 2026.”
