The visit, which took place over the weekend, brought together top officials of the party, including the APM National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle; the Bauchi State Chairman of the party, Auwal Isa; the party’s Bauchi State governorship candidate, Dr. Yakubu Adamu; his running mate, Hon. Speaking after a closed-door meeting with Governor Makinde, Bala Mohammed described the abduction of innocent schoolchildren as a tragic development that has shaken communities across the country and called for greater unity among political leaders in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges.

“The targeting of innocent schoolchildren is a tragedy that strikes at the very heart of our communities,” the Bauchi governor said. “It underscores the urgent need for leaders across political divides to work together in addressing the nation’s security challenges through a united and non-partisan approach.”

He said the purpose of the visit was to offer genuine support and solidarity to Governor Makinde and the people of Oyo State during what he described as a difficult and painful period.

Mohammed also conveyed the sympathy of the entire APM family to the government and people of Oyo State, while offering prayers for the safe and speedy return of the abducted children.

He stressed that national security should transcend political affiliations, urging leaders at all levels to collaborate in finding lasting solutions to the country’s security concerns.

The Bauchi governor further congratulated Makinde on securing his party’s presidential ticket for the forthcoming elections, commending his leadership style and the developmental strides being recorded under his administration in Oyo State.

The visit is seen as a demonstration of bipartisan solidarity at a time when concerns over insecurity and the safety of schoolchildren continue to dominate national discourse.
