Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has declared that the North-West is firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure victory in the January 2027 presidential election.
Sani made the declaration following the successful flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
In a statement issued after the event, the governor said the campaign launch demonstrated the strength of the ruling party, the unity of its leadership and the collective determination of its members to secure a second term for Tinubu.
He described it as a historic occasion for Kaduna State, noting that the presence of governors, party leaders, stakeholders and supporters underscored the significance of the gathering.
The governor also expressed appreciation to the residents who lined the streets from the airport to the stadium to welcome the President, describing their reception as evidence of their continued confidence in Tinubu’s leadership.
According to him, the enthusiastic turnout conveyed a clear message that the bond between the President and the people remains strong.
Sani said the Renewed Hope Agenda had translated into investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, transportation and other critical sectors across Kaduna State and the wider North-West region.
He noted that the interventions addressed the everyday needs of citizens and reflected the aspirations of communities, adding that the progress recorded had strengthened public confidence in the administration.
The governor, however, stressed that the call for continuity came with the responsibility to consolidate existing achievements and sustain efforts to improve the welfare of Nigerians.
He said the unity demonstrated at the campaign launch must be translated into collective action to ensure the party’s success at the polls.
“From Kaduna, our message is clear and unequivocal: the North stands firmly with President Tinubu,” Sani declared.
He added that political leaders and party supporters in the region were prepared to mobilise voters for what he described as a decisive victory in January 2027.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to working with other APC leaders and supporters to secure Tinubu’s renewed mandate and advance the administration’s vision of a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
