The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has expressed appreciation over the maiden interactive meeting he held with Northern social media influencers and bloggers.
The meeting was held over dinner at the Rockview Hotel Royale on Wednesday in Abuja.
The Director of Public Relations and Protocol in the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, Dr Suleiman Haruna, said in a press statement that the minister described the meeting as “insightful and engaging” and that he sincerely appreciated it.
“Your openness and commitment to inclusive dialogue are deeply encouraging,” Idris told the social media influencers and bloggers.
He added: “We look forward to another round of engagement before the end of the year.
“We also plan to broaden participation by including more social media influencers / bloggers in future sessions.
“Additionally, from time to time, some participants will have the opportunity to benefit from capacity-building, organized by the ministry, on media and artificial intelligence.
“This meeting is the first in a series of engagements with bloggers and influencers from all parts of the country.”
