The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun, has received in his office in Abuja today a high level delegation led by the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Hidayet Bayraktai.

The meeting marked a crucial step in enhancing trade and investment between Nigeria and Turkey, with both nations expressing commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.

Mr Wale Edun hosts the meeting with the Turkish delegation in his office

The discussion centred on exploring new opportunities for economic growth, with Edun reaffirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to sustainable economic growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The minister also assured the delegation of Nigeria’s continued support for foreign businesses, providing strategic insights to further strengthen economic ties.

The delegation commended Nigeria’s economic progress and expressed appreciation for Tinubu’s efforts in fostering a business-friendly environment.

They also explored new opportunities to enhance trade and investment between both nations.

The Director of Information and Public Relations in the ministry, Mohammed Manga, said in a press release: “With this meeting, Nigeria and Turkey are poised to take their economic relationship to the next level, driving growth, investment, and prosperity for both nations.”
