No final decision reached on forward sale of crude oil – FG

The Federal Government has said that it has not yet announced a final decision on a potential forward sale of crude oil involving the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), describing media reports on the issue as unfounded.

A statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance issued today by Mohammed Manga, the Director of Information and Public Relations, said: “While market speculation is not uncommon in the context of ongoing economic reforms and transactions, no final decision has been announced by the government, and commentary suggesting the collapse of any such initiative is unfounded.
