The Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) and the Creative Arts Agency (CAA), Ghana, have agreed to collaborate in areas such as capacity building, literary activities including conferences, workshops as well as exchange of creatives between Ghana and other African countries.
A statement issued by PAWA Secretary General, Dr Wale Okediran, said the agreement came to light after a recent courtesy visit by officials of PAWA to the CAA secretariat in Accra, Ghana.
Okediran, who led his team, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership due to his belief that both agencies have similar visions albeit working within different geographical catchment areas.
While thanking PAWA for the visit, the CAA acting Executive Secretary Mr Gideon Aryeequaye, expressed his organisation’s readiness to work with PAWA for the upliftment of the creative arts sector in Ghana as well as Africa as a whole.
